Last nights run was so hard for me. Mile 1-6 was super tough (I’m not sure why) and all I wanted to do was GIVE UP. I kept telling myself “girl you got this! ” . My pace was everywhere, my calves were tight, my hubby was doing awesome (why can’t I be a beast like him!?!), my belly was sick. You know all the excuses you can make as a runner.
Mile 6 I finally got my got my groove but was totally exhausted and could not keep the pace I wanted. I finally hit mile 10 and although very proud that I did not give up, I felt HORRIBLE.
We came home I seriously felt like I had the flu or something I took a hot shower crawled into bed and iced my legs. I fell right to sleep (something I never do after a run) and slept like a baby all night!!!!
I feel great this morning just disappointed in myself. 8(
Was it the C4 before my run? Was it that cupcake I had at the birthday party? Was my body punishing me for not eating properly before a long run? Not enough water? All of the above??????
